BACKGROUND
Trenton Fish & Game Club (TF&GC) is pleased to announce the introduction of the Rimfire Challenge Shooting Association events to be held at the club. Formally known as the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) and Ruger Rimfire Challenge, The Rimfire Challenge Shooting Association Rimfire Challenge is a "steel target," .22 rifle and pistol program created to introduce new people to the shooting sports and provide a pathway to shooting competition. The NSSF Rimfire Challenge can provide individuals or families with a fun and exciting first-time shooting experience.
Developed by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the Rimfire Challenge is a timed event where shooters engage steel targets of varying sizes and distances and are scored based on their time to hit each target in a shooting stage.
Participation is open to all safe and responsible individuals who can legally own, possess or handle a firearm and who agrees to abide by all safety regulations established by the TF&GC. For an entry fee, shooters can enter as many "stages" as time and openings warrant. The purchase of specialized, competition firearms is not required to participate in the Rimfire Challenge. There will be two Divisions in which shooters may compete.
